I am currently looking for an experienced Line Leader to join my client's production team. This is a hands-on role where you will lead by example, ensuring production lines run efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and health & safety.
You will work closely with a small team of operatives, taking responsibility for line performance, product quality, and accurate completion of production paperwork. This is a great opportunity for someone with leadership experience who enjoys motivating others and driving performance.
Key Responsibilities for a Line Leader- Set up and operate production lines efficiently, ensuring products meet specification and food safety standards
- Lead and support a team of line operatives, allocating tasks and ensuring appropriate training
- Achieve and exceed production targets and KPIs, minimising downtime and waste
- Monitor product quality and remove non-conforming products in line with company procedures
- Complete all production paperwork and labelling accurately and on time, ensuring full traceability
- Carry out line changes and adjustments to maintain optimum efficiency
- Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleaning are maintained at all times
- Promote and enforce health & safety and food safety standards across the line
- Support the wider production team and undertake additional duties as required
- Previous experience working in a food or fresh produce environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a diverse workforce
- Previous experience as a Line Leader
- A positive, self-driven attitude with a strong sense of integrity
- Excellent attention to detail
- A natural motivator who leads by example
