We are currently recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing specialist HVAC business operating across the East of England. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer looking to join a reputable company with a strong regional presence and a consistent pipeline of domestic, commercial and industrial work.
The successful Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer will carry out planned preventative maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with FGas regulations and maintaining high service standards. This is a full-time, permanent position covering sites across Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Suffolk and Northamptonshire.
Main Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Service and maintain systems across domestic, commercial and industrial sites
- Diagnose equipment faults and identify remedial actions
- Complete detailed service reports following site visits
- Ensure all work complies with FGas and health & safety regulations
- Build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle to high standards
- Support occasional reactive repairs and emergency call-outs
- Assist with weekend overtime when required
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 1 year’s experience within the air conditioning industry
- Experience working with a range of air conditioning systems
- Knowledge of manufacturers such as Daikin, Mitsubishi and Fujitsu
- FGas 2079 certification (essential)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Confident communicator with good written reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months)
- Level 2 qualification in Air Conditioning/Refrigeration (advantageous)
- CSCS, IPAF or PASMA (advantageous)
Salary & Working Hours:
Salary dependent on experience. 40 hours per week (including travel time) Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Overtime and occasional weekend work offered.
