We are looking for a talented software localisation engineer to join our growing UK team. Joining our team means becoming part of a dynamic and diverse team who thrive in a fantastic office culture. You will help us on our ultimate goal: to become the premier global rental/hire technology company.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with product, development, and quality assurance teams to understand software requirements and ensure proper localization.
- Implement localization processes, ensuring that software is adapted for target markets while maintaining functional integrity.
- Localize user interfaces, error messages, documentation, and other textual content.
- Ensure that software and web applications function correctly in all target languages.
- Collaborate with translators and content teams to ensure high-quality translations and culturally relevant adaptations.
- Handle file formats and conversion tools (e.g., .xml, .resx, .properties) used in localization processes.
- Test localized software to ensure proper functionality, including linguistic accuracy and UI display in different languages.
- Identify and troubleshoot localization-related issues, providing solutions to any problems that arise.
- Document localization workflows, best practices, and processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve localization tools and processes for future projects.
- Demonstrated real-world experience in localising software projects, including web applications and desktop software. Experience should include both technical and linguistic adaptation for various regions and languages.
- Familiarity with .NET programming languages (C#, VB) and development tools, as well as version control systems to work efficiently with code during localization.
- Experience working with various localization formats like XML, JSON, .resx, .properties, and .po files.
- Strong understanding of internationalization (i18n) principles and best practices. Ability to identify and address internationalization issues early in the development process to ensure smooth localization.
- Experience with MS SQL Server including working with Stored Procedures, Functions and Views.
- Proficiency in multiple languages other than English (e.g. French, Spanish, German) with the ability to translate and review content with cultural and contextual understanding.
- Experience using AI-powered localisation tools.
