We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Project Manager to join our Professional Services team. In this critical role, you will be the primary point of contact for new and existing customers, guiding them through the entire software implementation lifecycle. You will orchestrate a seamless onboarding experience, primarily focused on our flagship Syrinx product, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality, ultimately driving long-term customer success and value.
As Project Manager, you will act as a trusted advisor, managing customer expectations, coordinating internal resources, and ensuring a smooth transition from the sales process to a fully operational and adopted Point of Rental solution. You will work on all types of projects up to and including the largest that the business delivers.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-End Project Management: Lead and manage the full lifecycle of multiple, concurrent SaaS implementation projects, from post-sale kickoff to final go-live and handover to the support team.
- Project Planning & Scoping: Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation schedules.
- Stakeholder & Client Communication: Serve as the primary liaison for the customer. Proactively communicate project status, manage expectations, and provide regular updates to both clients and internal leadership.
- Resource Coordination: Effectively coordinate and assign tasks to a project team of Implementation Consultants, Trainers, and IT/Data experts to ensure milestones are met.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. Develop contingency plans and facilitate solutions to keep projects on track.
- Budget & Scope Control: Monitor project scope and budget, managing any changes through a formal change control process to ensure project profitability and success.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and that the implemented solution aligns with the customer's business needs.
- Process Improvement: Passionate about standards and best practice in Project Management. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our implementation methodology and internal processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Essential:
- Proven experience in a Project Management role, preferably within a SaaS, software, or technology company.
- Experience in a client-facing role, managing external customer projects and relationships.
- Demonstrable experience managing the full software implementation lifecycle.
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for navigating complex challenges and driving consensus.
- Proficiency with project management software and tools.
- Recognised Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2 etc.)
- Experience in the equipment hire industry is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP, inventory management, or accounting software implementation.
- A basic understanding of technical concepts such as data migration, APIs, and system integrations.
- Experience with Point of Rental Syrinx or other Hire Management software solutions would be an advantage.
