Point of Rental Software is a global leader in hire management technology, serving over 5,000 rental businesses across the world. Our integrated payments platform, PoR Pay, enables hire companies to manage and take payments effortlessly—whether online, in-person or via payment links—improving cashflow and customer experience.
We’re looking for a commercially driven Payments Account Manager with proven experience in payment solutions sales. This role is responsible for actively engaging with our UK customer base to drive adoption and expansion of PoR Pay, our embedded payments offering. You’ll be expected to proactively identify opportunities, initiate outreach, and manage a pipeline of customers through to activation—offering tailored solutions that help them simplify payment processing, reduce admin, and accelerate revenue collection.
Key Responsibilities- Sales & Commercial Development
- Proactively contact existing customers to sell and expand usage of PoR Pay
- Qualify leads, manage a personal pipeline, and convert opportunities into successful activations
- Hit monthly KPIs for payment activations, volume growth, and account expansion
- Understand customer business needs and position the right PoR Pay solutions to meet them
- Navigate commercial conversations, negotiate terms, and address objections with confidence
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and payment compliance requirements
- Onboard and train clients on using PoR Pay tools including:
- Payment links (Quicklink)
- Card terminals
- Online consumer payments and deposit tools
- Recurring billing via the Customer Portal
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners and finance teams
- Act as the payment expert in ongoing account conversations
- Capture feedback to help improve our payments offering and customer journey
- Work closely with Product, Support and wider Sales teams to enhance adoption strategy
- 2–4 years’ experience in B2B payments sales or fintech account management
- Proven success in proactive outreach and consultative selling
- Confident in managing a sales process from discovery to close
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised, target-driven and self-motivated
- Familiarity with hire/rental industry, SaaS, or embedded payments is a strong advantage
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce experience preferred)
