At Point of Rental Software, the qualified Implementation Specialist (IT/Tech) is responsible for implementing company software, configuration of add-on products, advising on best practice internally and externally. You will be required to assist in complex infrastructure design, write and update technical documentation, and be a key figure in our external customer business.
Key Technical Skills:
- Knowledge and understanding of at least one or more Cloud Solutions for visualisation, SQL Server, Backup protocols and procedures, Web Server Hosting, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, Amazon Web Services, and VPS Blocks
- Advanced Knowledge of Amazon Web Services. Deployment of images to AWS product line sold by Point of Rental Software.
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain multiple image configurations and update images.
- Advanced knowledge of the Windows Server operating system. Features such as Remote Desktop Server, Remote Desktop Server Farms, Terminal Services, and other advanced Windows features are required.
- Advanced knowledge of Virtual Machine hosting and management.
- Advanced knowledge of IIS, Port Forwarding, VPN, RDS and Web API
- POP/SMTP Email setup with Google Gmail, Microsoft O365, and other providers
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server deployment methods. Knowledge of the TSQL program language for automation purposes.
- Windows (7,8,10 and 11) and Firewall configuration
- Knowledge of the software development process. The ability to interact with developers for the betterment of the software.
- DOS BATCH, PowerShell or .Net programming or equivalent programming experience.
Key Soft Skills:
- To be able to interact with Technical and Non-Technical front-end and back-end users.
- Team player who is always available, patient and helpful.
- Excellent communicator who can pick up the phone to explain the requirements to a non-technical customer or attend customer facing calls to discuss high level back end configuration.
- Advanced documentation skills for protocol, procedures, and process so the documents can be consumed by non-technical front-end users as well as technical back-end users.
- Telephone/Remote Customer Support experience (Can be replaced with onsite experience or equivalent customer service experience).
Advantageous Skills:
- Hire Industry experience.
- Point-of-Rental Software end-user experience.
- AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner, Operations, etc.)
- Microsoft Certified Professional/Administrator.
