Bishopshalt School – a thriving school community with a proud history and a commitment to high expectations and a broad range of educational opportunities – is seeking an experienced Maths Teacher to lead the delivery of Key Stage 3 Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that follow the carefully sequenced and ambitious department curriculum.
  • Uphold the Bishopshalt values so that all students can love learning, chase brilliance, show kindness, build character, and have bright futures.
  • Regularly review and update the curriculum provision to ensure coherence and ambition.
  • Implement effective Assessment for Learning strategies to inform teaching.
  • Use data to review student progress and provide appropriate and timely interventions.
  • Participate in the life of the school beyond the classroom.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the subject, pedagogy, curriculum developments, and safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Set challenging yet achievable performance targets; monitor progress and hold staff accountable.
