With a 110-year history, the WI is proud to be able to say that it continues to be the largest and most influential UK women’s organisation, with over 170,000 members. The organisation’s campaigns push for change on the issues that matter to women and their communities, from equal pay to climate change, mental health and violence against women. The WI has brought about real change, and this record of action shows that it is as relevant today as it was in 1915.

The National Federation of Women’s Institutes (the NFWI) is responsible for running the organisation and provides support and advice to members at both regional and local levels.

About the role

Operating across the full spectrum of media and platforms, you will implement innovative marketing campaigns that build engagement that positions the WI as the UK’s leading women’s organisation. The organisation will look to you to help shape and deliver its marketing and communications strategy whilst championing innovation in print and digital advertising, video, audio, brand and sponsored content, affiliate marketing, influencing, websites and internal communications. Equally importantly, you will actively interpret data to drive campaigning and track your success through in-depth analytics, so you will require a highly analytical mindset and a meticulous approach to everything you do.

Location:

Hybrid, with one day a week at the London office.

About you

Experienced in managing multi-channel marketing campaigns and creating both print and digital content, you will be familiar with setting targets, interpreting brand guidelines, using content management systems and briefing external providers. You should be well versed in the digital landscape, including advertising, content optimisation, UX and engagement, and skilled in gathering data and analytics to measure engagement. Finally, exposure to a non-profit or membership organisation would be beneficial, as would a proven track record in copywriting, proofreading and creating training materials.

In return, the NFWI will offer you a hybrid working arrangement, which means a minimum of one day a week in your primary office and the rest worked from home, although you can work up to three days in the office if preferred; 28 days’ annual leave, rising to 30 days on completion of 5 years’ service with the flexibility to take your annual leave in hours; membership of a healthcare scheme; enhanced family-friendly policies; a commitment to employee wellbeing; and more.
