The Bridge Academy – a truly exceptional secondary school in Hackney with a strong culture of high standards, academic rigour and outstanding personal development – is seeking a TOTAL Manager (Behaviour Support). This is an exciting opportunity to lead the day-to-day operation of the TOTAL (Time Out To Access Learning) Room, supporting pupils to reflect, reset and reintegrate successfully within a calm, purposeful learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of the TOTAL (Time Out To Access Learning) Room, ensuring a calm, respectful and structured environment for pupils who have not met the school’s behaviour expectations.
  • Supervising and managing pupils assigned to the TOTAL Room, while upholding and modelling the highest standards of student culture, uniform, language and conduct in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Ensuring students complete meaningful academic work with a strong emphasis on work rate, accountability and continuing learning in line with curriculum expectations during their time in the TOTAL Room.
  • Working closely with pastoral teams, teaching staff and senior leaders to support pupils in reflecting, resetting and reintegrating successfully, including leading structured reflection conversations and supporting reintegration meetings with parents/carers and key staff where necessary.
