The National Federation of Women's Institutes – the largest and most influential UK-based women's organisation – is looking for a Head of IT and Digital Services to transform and take ownership of their digital strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Developing and implementing the NFWI's digital strategy across all platforms, including the website, My WI, MCS and Prospects.
- Overseeing all digital service delivery.
- Managing all digital vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets.
- Ensuring data protection compliance and overseeing information security and cybersecurity.
- Leading digital transformation initiatives and driving innovation.
- Overseeing and delivering training and workshops.
- Providing technical expertise and collaborating with other teams.
- Identifying opportunities for digital innovation that improve member experiences and operational efficiency.
- Managing the digital services budget, including forecasting and cost control.
- Ensuring the website CMS is effectively managed with appropriate content governance.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing digital strategies within a digital/IT leadership role.
- Strong understanding of current digital trends and technologies as well as data protection legislation.
- Direct line management experience, including performance management and team development.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a small team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrable experience managing IT/digital budgets and achieving value for money.
- Experience managing websites, CMS platforms and integrated digital systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Salary: £58,000 per annum + excellent benefits.
Contract and Hours: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week.
Location: Hybrid working, with one day per week at the London office.
