The Hall School – a thriving and successful preparatory school for boys in North London, educating approximately 470 pupils aged 4 to 13 – is seeking a Digital Content Creator. This hands‑on, creative role will take day‑to‑day ownership of the school’s content output, leading the production of social media, video, photography and design content that showcases life at The Hall across a range of channels and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing The Hall’s social media channels, creating, editing and scheduling content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and emerging platforms to maintain a consistent, on‑brand and engaging presence.
- Drafting clear and engaging copy and captions for social media content.
- Planning and maintaining the social media content calendar, working closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications on strategy, campaigns and school priorities.
- Capturing authentic moments around the school through photography and video content while maintaining a visible and proactive presence during term time.
- Managing community engagement across channels, responding to comments and messages in a timely, warm and on‑brand manner.
- Producing short‑form video content for social platforms and editing content using tools such as CapCut or equivalent software.
- Shooting and editing longer‑form video content for the website, admissions campaigns and parent communications.
- Planning and supporting external photography and videography shoots, briefing and assisting freelance photographers and videographers where required.
- Designing and updating branded templates and marketing assets across digital and print formats, ensuring consistency with The Hall’s brand guidelines.
- Managing the production of the school’s printed newspaper, coordinating timelines, photography, copy and design elements.
- Using Photoshop for image editing and retouching, including cropping, colour correction, background removal and image preparation.
- Keeping The Hall’s website and alumni website updated, uploading content, creating pages and maintaining existing content.
- Managing and updating third‑party directory listings, review platforms and the school’s digital photo library, ensuring content remains current, organised and compliant with safeguarding requirements.
- Assisting with marketing and admissions activities, including open day planning, market research and other ad hoc projects as required.
Skills and Experience
- Degree‑level qualification in marketing, communications, design, media or a related field, or equivalent professional training, desirable.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a social media, content creation or digital marketing role.
- Proven track record of producing engaging content for social media platforms.
- Experience creating digital content to brief using design software and creative tools.
- Proficiency in photography, video editing software and design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva or similar.
- Genuine eye for visual storytelling.
- Experience in analysing social media performance metrics to inform content creation.
- Understanding of brand consistency and visual identity principles.
- Understanding of how digital and social platforms function, including trends, audience behaviour and algorithms.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload, remain organised and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with staff, pupils, parents and alumni.
- Ability to take initiative and lead small creative projects independently.

Salary: FTE of £32,000 - 38,000 per annum + benefits.
Contract/hours: Permanent, full‑time, year‑round position. On‑site attendance is required Monday to Friday during term time, with increased flexibility around working arrangements during school holidays.
