We have a diverse range of employee, bank workers and volunteers from different backgrounds. Previous or current job roles and experiences working with vulnerable people is beneficial however we are more focused on recruiting based on values and the passion to make a difference. Hours of Work: 37 hours per week working between 9am – 5pm Monday
Friday.
Location: Home based with travel around the London area.
Please note: You will be expected to be take a flexible approach and potentially could be expected to commute outside of your specified borough. This commute would be covered within our Milage rate within our policy.
Salary:
Starting salary Β£26,743.64 per Annum.
Contract Type: Permanent What Youll Do
Provide high quality instructed and non-instructed advocacy according to the needs of the client and relevant to the service being provided Act on behalf of clients at all times, including following their instructions, taking action as directed by them or representing their wishes, feelings, beliefs and values in a way that is consistent with the law, guidance and best practice To evidence effective, outcome focused case management, ensuring all casework demonstrates processes of planning, action and review with relevant recording To provide high quality written reports as part of statutory advocacy roles To escalate concerns or complaints professionally to relevant public bodies as instructed by clients or otherwise where appropriate
Independent Advocate Requirements:
Strong communication and time management skills to successfully work remotely. Excellent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn software packages such as client management databases. Attention to detail to ensure accurate recording of records and reporting to meet tight deadlines.
Desirable:
Previous experience in advocacy, information and advice, or a similar role within health, social care, or the voluntary sector. Demonstrable experience working with vulnerable adults. Working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations.
