We’re looking for a fully qualified electrician to join our renewables delivery team, supporting the installation of solar PV, battery storage and heat pump systems. This is a hands-on role that combines:
- Surveying, commissioning and some onsite electrical work
- Planning, coordination, and project management
You must be organised, practical, and confident solving problems on-site and improving how jobs are prepared and delivered. This role is ideal for someone who has worked with (or within) an installation company and understands how structured installation teams operate.
What you’ll be doing:
- Planning
- Plan installation works for electrical installation
- Produce parts lists for works
- Prepare/check/create commissioning documentation
- Delivery & coordination
- Help project manage installations: coordinate fitting teams, keep jobs moving, reduce return visits
- Problem-solve with fitting teams and suppliers when issues arise
- Maintain quality, safety and customer satisfaction throughout the job
- Onsite electrical
- Some work onsite as a hands-on electrician (install, testing, fault-finding, commissioning where required)
- Support compliance with applicable standards and manufacturer requirements
Technical Supervisor
We will fund training and support you to become a Technical Supervisor responsible for solar and batteries as you become confident in our process. You’ll have strong internal technical support and templates/checklists already in place — you won’t be left to figure it out alone.
Essential requirements
- Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 + AM2 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition (BS 7671)
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working both onsite and with planning
- Practical, solutions-focused approach and good communication with installers/customers
- Experience installing solar PV and/or battery storage
- Inspection & Testing experience/qualification
Desirable (nice to have)
- Experience working for a large installation company or within structured install teams
- Familiarity with commissioning/handover packs, snag management, and quality processes
