About Podshop

We're looking for a Freelance Podcast Production Assistant to support our team on a project basis over the next 2+ months, with the potential for ongoing work for the right person.

The Role

This is an hourly (£20 to £25 an hour, depending on experience) freelance position focused on podcast publishing, content creation and platform management. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys podcasts, digital content and social media, and has strong organisational and copywriting skills.

The role will be a minimum of 5 to 10 hours per week, on an hourly basis and can primarily be remote (but you are welcome to work from our studios/offices if preferred). However, it would be more depending on the amount of new projects that come through. The workload will vary throughout the week, with a higher volume of work initially as we work through a backlog of outstanding tasks. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on a freelance basis alongside their own other projects, while remaining responsive to emails and able to deliver client requests and updates within agreed timeframes.

  • Creating social media captions and post copy
  • Creating static social media assets and thumbnails from existing templates
  • Scheduling and publishing content across various social media platforms
  • Supporting the wider production team with podcast administration and content-related tasks

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with podcasts, digital content or social media
  • Has strong written communication and copywriting skills
  • Understands SEO fundamentals and how they apply to podcast titles, descriptions and YouTube content
  • Is confident using Adobe Creative Programmes, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator (expert-level skills not required)
  • Has experience using social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube
  • Has experience with podcast platforms, specifically uploading and distributing podcast via Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube
  • Is highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Can work independently and manage multiple deadlines
  • Has a genuine interest in podcasts and content marketing
