Podlings and The Podcast Studio are hiring a reliable, tech‑savvy Technical Operator / Remote Producer to support video and audio podcasts for schools and business clients. You’ll run remote sessions, keep quality high and keep people calm on mic.
What you’ll do:
- Operate live and recorded remote sessions (Zoom, Riverside, SquadCast or similar)
- Monitor audio and video quality in real time
- Troubleshoot connection and recording issues quickly
- Manage file transfers, backups and initial post‑production checks
- Liaise with teachers, pupils and business clients to ensure smooth recordings
What we’re looking for:
- DBS checked (essential for school work)
- Experience with podcast or broadcast tools
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills — able to reassure adults and children on mic
- Ability to work freelance on flexible schedules during school hours and some evenings
Nice to have:
- Basic video editing in Premiere, Final Cut or similar
- Experience adding captions or translated subtitles for inclusivity
