At Podium, we power the sports betting and media industries with world-class data solutions, delivering real-time insights that help bookmakers, media organisations and racing stakeholders make smarter, faster decisions. Part of PA Media Group, Podium is trusted by leading global operators and is evolving rapidly. We’re moving beyond being a traditional data supplier to becoming a more consultative, solutions-led partner; focused on creating deeper relationships, unlocking value for our clients and driving sustainable commercial growth.
About the role. We’re looking for a Senior Account Director to play a pivotal role in Podium’s growth journey. This is a senior, client-facing role focused on developing and elevating relationships with our most important partners, ensuring Podium becomes their supplier of choice. You’ll work hands-on with clients to understand their commercial goals, identify opportunities, and position Podium’s products and solutions as essential to their success. Sitting at the intersection of clients, products and data, you’ll help transform how we engage with partners - moving beyond transactional selling to long-term, value-driven partnerships that drive revenue growth for both sides.
What you’ll do:
- Build and grow key relationships: Own and proactively develop strong relationships with key clients and partners, quickly building trust and credibility.
- Drive commercial growth: Successfully sell Podium’s existing and new products across the bookmaking, sports and media landscape, identifying opportunities to upsell and expand partnerships.
- Use insight to create impact: Leverage data and insight to guide decision-making, improve performance and demonstrate value to clients.
- Own accounts end-to-end: Manage budgets, negotiate contracts and take accountability for commercial outcomes across your portfolio.
- Work closely with product, technology, marketing and support teams: Deliver solutions and projects on time and to a high standard.
- Be present with clients: Travel regularly to meet partners in person, strengthening relationships and positioning Podium as a trusted, long-term partner.
- Anticipate and solve problems: Spot risks and opportunities early, taking a proactive approach to problem-solving before issues arise.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Proven experience in a senior commercial, account management or client-facing role within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen with the confidence to negotiate complex commercial deals.
- A data-driven mindset, using insight to inform conversations and outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills and the gravitas to represent Podium with senior stakeholders.
- The ability to understand client business goals and align Podium solutions to their needs.
- Experience working across multiple internal teams to deliver client-focused outcomes.
- A strong understanding of the horseracing, betting and/or wider sports industries.
What we offer. You’ll join an ambitious, collaborative team where commercial leadership plays a central role in shaping Podium’s future. Benefits include: Competitive salary and commission, 25 days’ annual leave, plus a holiday purchase scheme.
