This is a genuinely exciting moment for our app. We’re investing in design as a driver of product quality, not just execution, and this role has real ownership and influence. You’ll shape how thousands of customers experience our app day to day, working closely with product and engineering, while also helping us raise the bar for craft, systems, and ways of working across the team. Responsibilities

  • Own the Mobile App Experience – end‑to‑end ownership of our mobile app design, covering user flows, pixel‑perfect UI, interactions, and motion, ensuring experiences are intuitive, performant, and delightful.
  • Drive Design Quality and Craft – raise the bar for design quality, evolving the app towards consistent 5‑star experiences through strong visual design, usability, accessibility, and attention to detail.
  • Evolve our Design System – help mature and scale our existing design language and design system, ensuring it supports speed, consistency, and long‑term product growth.
  • Lead User‑Centred Design Decisions – plan, lead, and synthesise user research, grounding design decisions in real customer insight while balancing business and technical needs.
  • Shape Product Direction – support and upskill leaders on change management, organisational design, culture, and performance, helping Pod navigate growth, transformation, and complexity with clarity and confidence.
  • Oversee the Full Product Lifecycle – proactively identify opportunities, simplify complexity, and influence product roadmaps with design‑led thinking and insight.
  • Collaborate Cross‑functionally – work closely with product managers and engineers to solve problems, navigate constraints, and deliver high‑quality outcomes smoothly and efficiently.
  • Partner Across the Business – collaborate with marketing on messaging moments, value propositions, and cohesive end‑to‑end customer journeys across the app.
  • Work with Pace and Flexibility – move comfortably between rapid exploration, structured iteration, and detailed polish, adapting your approach based on the problem at hand.
  • Improve how we Work – help refine processes and ways of working to improve clarity, efficiency, and overall design impact.
  • Mentor and Elevate the Team – support the development of other designers through mentoring and by contributing to shared standards, tools, and best practices.
