We are looking to recruit experienced Plant Fitters to join our growing Plant Team, with positions available in Manchester and Uxbridge. The role will involve the inspection, maintenance, repair and fault-finding of a varied fleet of construction and rail plant, including excavators, dumpers, trailers, RRVs and specialist attachments. The successful candidates will work both in the workshop and on-site as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment.
- Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical and electrical faults.
- Attend site breakdowns and carry out repairs.
- Complete inspection and maintenance records accurately.
- Prepare and mobilise plant for projects.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard.
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance.
- Experience maintaining and repairing construction plant.
- Strong hydraulic, mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Construction Plant Maintenance.
- CPCS Competent Operator Card.
- Welding experience.
- LOLER inspection knowledge.
- Experience working on rail plant and RRVs.
- Familiarity with modern plant diagnostic systems.
