Pod Talent are working with a rapidly growing and innovative consumer goods business on an exciting new opportunity within their logistics team. This role will play a crucial part in managing 3PL relationships and operational performance across multiple warehouse locations. It's a brilliant opportunity for someone experienced in third-party logistics who enjoys being hands-on and driving real change in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Logistics Manager:- Act as the key contact between the business and 3PL providers, ensuring excellent service and contract performance
- Analyse logistics data and 3PL KPIs to drive improvements and cost-saving initiatives
- Monitor and manage capacity planning, storage utilisation and operational resource requirements
- Validate 3PL invoicing and ensure reporting is delivered accurately and on time
- Support system developments and ensure high inventory accuracy across 3PL sites
- Audit 3PL SOPs and ensure compliance, identifying areas for continuous improvement
- Provide weekly visibility and reporting to internal stakeholders, flagging performance risks
- Strong experience managing 3PL contracts, ideally within both B2B and D2C channels
- Proven background in logistics or warehousing, with a mix of 3PL and in-house operations
- Solid understanding of performance management, capacity planning and cost control
- Experience working with parcel carriers, particularly in a consumer-led supply chain
- Proactive mindset, data-driven and comfortable travelling regularly between sites
- Ideally based within a commutable distance of Corby, Northampton and Sheffield
