Description
We’re Pod – one of the UK’s leading EV charging providers, trusted by over 250,000 customers and powering more than 5 million miles every single day. But behind the numbers is a team of passionate people working together to shape a smarter, more sustainable future.
We started off in 2009 as Pod Point, helping people make the switch to electric as EVs began to hit the road. Today, we’re leading the way into a smarter energy future. Now part of the EDF Family, a global leader in low‑carbon energy, we’re giving people and communities the power move confidently through electrification.
We’re proud to be the trusted charging partner for leading automotive brands like Mercedes, Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, and Kia; home builders Barratt and Bellway; and retail giants including Tesco. Our smart charging solutions don’t just support EV drivers – they help balance the grid, lower costs, and make clean energy accessible to everyone.
Pod is the next evolution of Pod Point. As electrification becomes everyday, Pod is here to help build a brighter future for society by managing the flow of energy, making it affordable, accessible, and for the benefit of everyone. With 250,000 customers already trusting us to be at the heart of their EV life, we see Pod playing a leading role in the UK’s increasingly electrified future. Our focus is on powering not just homes and vehicles, but local communities and social progress.
Our Ways of Working
We’re all about flexibility, community and a healthy work‑life balance. Our hybrid model offers a \’best of both worlds\’ approach combining the best parts of home and office working. When you\’ll be in the office depends on your role, but you can expect to work from our London office between 8-12 days per month.
To support this, the successful applicant should be within a reasonably commutable distance to our office (Gray\’s Inn Road, London, WC1X 8HB).
Join the EVolution:
We\’re looking for a commercially sharp leader who knows how to drive results and build markets at the same time. This isn’t just about hitting revenue targets — it’s about shaping Pod’s role in workplace EV charging, building national partnerships and leading a talented team to deliver impact. If you’ve got the experience, the drive, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders, this is your opportunity to help lead the transition to clean mobility at scale.
So, what you\’ll do:
- Deliver Commercial Results – you’ll deliver personal acquisition targets through direct prospecting, networking, and senior‑level engagement in priority accounts, owning the delivery of revenue realisation
- Lead and Coach the Team – you’ll manage, develop and motivate a team consisting of a Business Development Manager, Account Executives and an Internal Account Manager, building a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance against individual and collective sales targets
- Own Enterprise and SME Opportunities – you’ll take responsibility for end‑to‑end sales across workplace customers, from SMEs to large corporates, ensuring tailored solutions that combine hardware, installation, maintenance and managed services
- Develop Strategic Partnerships – you’ll establish alliances with facilities management, construction, DC charging and energy partners to expand Pod’s reach and capability
- Grow and Develop with EDF – you’ll collaborate on joint propositions for SME and enterprise customers, ensuring Pod is well positioned within EDF’s broader energy offerings and across strategic partnership accounts
- Champion Customer Insight – you’ll act as the voice of workplace customers internally, shaping propositions and influencing strategy to ensure Pod stays differentiated
- Represent Pod Externally – you’ll build credibility with senior decision‑makers including property directors, CFOs and sustainability leaders, representing Pod with professionalism and authority, acting as the escalation point for complex opportunities, negotiations and account challenges
- Drive Subscription Adoption – you’ll increase penetration of Pod’s subscription services on installs, ensuring long‑term customer value and recurring revenue
- Collaborate Cross‑functionally – you’ll work closely with Marketing, Operations and Product teams to align team efforts with go‑to‑market strategy and customer needs
- Champion our values – you’ll live Trust, Edge and Care in your leadership and partner relationships, ensuring both the team and customers see Pod as a trusted, forward‑thinking partner.
