Responsibilities- Coordinate contractors and installations - you’ll work closely with project managers to ensure everything is in place for smooth delivery.
- Manage materials - purchase orders and logistics - you’ll raise quotes and purchase orders across commercial, domestic and maintenance work, ensuring materials are ordered and arrive on site when needed.
- Oversee equipment hire and cost control - you’ll manage equipment hire across projects, reviewing usage weekly and ensuring items are off-hired promptly to minimise unnecessary costs.
- Own invoicing and payments - you’ll run the end‐to‐end receipting and payment process, ensuring supplier and subcontractor payments are accurate and released only when work and documentation are complete.
- Ensure documentation and QA readiness - you’ll work closely with internal teams and subcontractors to make sure completion packs are uploaded and QA sign‐offs are in place ahead of payment.
- Maintain commercial data accuracy - you’ll keep purchase orders, supplier records, and receipting data accurate across systems, ensuring the commercial operation runs on reliable information.
- Deliver reporting and insights - you’ll produce regular and ad hoc reports, turning operational data into clear, actionable insights for the commercial project management team.
- Drive process improvements and automation - you’ll identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, building automations and helping others across the business improve how they work with data and tools.
- Strong commercial and invoicing knowledge - you’ll understand purchase orders, receipting, and supplier payments, with experience managing these processes end‐to‐end.
- Confidence working with data - you’ll be comfortable pulling, cleaning, and presenting data to create reports that support project delivery and decision making.
- Experience coordinating suppliers or contractors - you’ll have experience working in a delivery environment such as field service, construction, or installations.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail - you’ll be able to balance recurring responsibilities with changing priorities while maintaining accuracy.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills - you’ll be confident using Google Sheets or Excel to manage, analyse, and present data.
- Clear communication skills - you’ll keep project managers, contractors, and internal stakeholders aligned and informed.
- Experience with finance or CRM systems.
- Exposure to systems such as SAP, Medius, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Automation capability.
- Experience with tools such as Google Apps Script, Zapier, or other automation platforms.
- Industry experience - Background in EV charging, energy, utilities, construction, or a related sector.
- Equipment hire knowledge - Familiarity with managing and optimising equipment hire processes.
