Description
We’re Pod – one of the UK’s leading EV charging providers, trusted by over 250,000 customers and powering more than 5 million miles every single day. But behind the numbers is a team of passionate people working together to shape a smarter, more sustainable future.
We started off in 2009 as Pod Point, helping people make the switch to electric as EVs began to hit the road. Today, we’re leading the way into a smarter energy future. Now part of the EDF Family, a global leader in low-carbon energy, we’re giving people and communities the power to move confidently through electrification.
We’re proud to be the trusted charging partner for leading automotive brands like Mercedes, Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, and Kia; home builders Barratt and Bellway; and retail giants including Tesco. Our smart charging solutions don’t just support EV drivers - they help balance the grid, lower costs, and make clean energy accessible to everyone.
Pod is the next evolution of Pod Point. As electrification becomes everyday, Pod is here to help build a brighter future for society by managing the flow of energy, making it affordable, accessible, and for the benefit of everyone. With 250,000 customers already trusting us to be at the heart of their EV life, we see Pod playing a leading role in the UK’s increasingly electrified future. Our focus is on powering not just homes and vehicles, but local communities and social progress.
Join the EVolution: We’re looking for a commercial, driven salesperson who can independently secure and grow fleet and lease company partnerships. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on Pod’s growth in the corporate EV space. If you’re ambitious, commercially sharp, and passionate about EVs and sustainability, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference and accelerate the adoption of EV charging across fleets.
What you’ll do:
- Identify and Secure New Partners - you’ll proactively target and acquire new fleets, fleet management companies, and lease company partners to expand Pod’s footprint in corporate EV charging.
- Manage the Full Sales Cycle - you’ll take ownership from prospecting, proposal, negotiation, and contracting, through to seamless partner onboarding and account activation.
- Deliver Commercial Results - you’ll achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets, accountable for both financial performance and the quality of new partnerships.
- Build Strategic Relationships - you’ll develop and nurture strong partnerships across all levels within fleet and lease organisations, from operational teams to senior decision-makers.
- Develop Go-To Market Plans - you’ll collaborate with fleet partners to create tailored strategies that drive home charger adoption, EV referrals, and subscription uptake within their business operations.
- Leverage Data and Insight - you’ll provide regular pipeline updates, accurate forecasting, and market feedback to inform strategy, improve performance, and optimise partner outcomes.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally - you’ll work with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to ensure partner onboarding is seamless and that joint initiatives deliver measurable results.
- Deliver Training and Enablement - you’ll support fleet partner teams with coaching and guidance on Pod’s solutions, ensuring confidence in promoting EV charging internally.
- Monitor Market and Competitor Activity - you’ll stay ahead of fleet and lease market trends to ensure Pod’s offerings remain differentiated and competitive.
- Champion our values - you’ll model Trust, Edge, and Care in all partner interactions, ensuring Pod is recognised as a credible and strategic partner.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- 5+ years’ experience working within or with fleets, fleet management companies, or lease providers.
- Proven success in full-cycle sales delivery with annual targets of £2m+.
- Track record of exceeding revenue and new business growth targets.
- Familiarity with CRM and sales analytics tools (ideally HubSpot).
- Experienced in structuring and negotiating partnership agreements.
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based, high-autonomy sales role.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, able to define and execute sales plans while adapting to shifts in the market.
- Superior sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline management.
- Passionate about sustainability, EV adoption, and the future of mobility.
Even better, but not essential, if you have:
- Experience with fleet electrification or EV charging – understanding fleet operations and EV adoption challenges to position Pod’s solutions effectively.
- Exposure to corporate sustainability programs – knowledge of ESG initiatives or fleet decarbonisation strategies to align Pod’s offerings with corporate goals.
- Background in B2B account management for large corporate clients – experience managing multi-stakeholder deals and longer sales cycles.
- Event or trade show experience – representing a business at fleet, leasing, or automotive industry events.
Perks that spark joy:
