We’re Pod – one of the UK’s leading EV charging providers, trusted by over 250,000 customers and powering more than 5 million miles every single day. But behind the numbers is a team of passionate people working together to shape a smarter, more sustainable future. We started off in 2009 as Pod Point, helping people make the switch to electric as EVs began to hit the road. Today, we’re leading the way into a smarter energy future. Now part of the EDF Family, a global leader in low‑carbon energy, we’re giving people and communities the power to move confidently through electrification.

We’re proud to be the trusted charging partner for leading automotive brands like Mercedes, Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, and Kia; home builders Barratt and Bellway; and retail giants including Tesco. Our smart charging solutions don’t just support EV drivers – they help balance the grid, lower costs, and make clean energy accessible to everyone. Pod is the next evolution of Pod Point. As electrification becomes everyday, Pod is here to help build a brighter future for society by managing the flow of energy, making it affordable, accessible, and for the benefit of everyone.

With 250,000 customers already trusting us to be at the heart of their EV life, we see Pod playing a leading role in the UK’s increasingly electrified future. Our focus is on powering not just homes and vehicles, but local communities and social progress.

Join the EVolution: This role is critical to how we scale our EV delivery programmes. We need someone who genuinely enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and commercial rigour to complex contractor environments. You’ll have real ownership over how our commercial processes work day‑to‑day, the autonomy to improve them, and the opportunity to build a high‑performing team. If you’re commercially sharp, pragmatic, and like working closely with delivery teams to solve problems, this is a role where you’ll have visible impact very quickly.

  • Manage Contractor Invoices and Variations - you’ll review and process contractor invoices, applications for payment, and variations, ensuring accuracy, compliance with agreed rates, and timely resolution of queries.
  • Oversee Contractor Setup and Performance - you’ll lead the onboarding and commercial setup of new contractors, ensuring they are fully compliant and operationally ready. You’ll monitor ongoing commercial performance and address issues proactively before they escalate.
  • Support Project Teams with Commercial Escalations - you’ll work closely with Project Managers to resolve contractor‑related commercial issues, delivery snags, and disputes, providing clear guidance and practical solutions.
  • Support Supplier Sourcing and Negotiation - you’ll support the sourcing of new contractors and suppliers, carrying out commercial assessments, benchmarking rates, and contributing to negotiations to secure competitive and sustainable agreements.
  • Maintain Financial Control and Reporting - you’ll oversee invoice accuracy and timely processing, support monthly reconciliation, and provide clear commercial reporting to finance and senior stakeholders. You’ll investigate and resolve discrepancies with contractors and delivery partners.

Electrify us with your skills:

  • Contractor and Supplier Management Expertise - You’ll bring a solid understanding of contractor management, pricing structures, variations, and commercial governance, with experience onboarding and managing multiple suppliers.
  • Financial Accuracy and Attention to Detail - You’ll be highly organised, with a strong eye for detail and a track record of managing invoices, applications for payment, and reconciliations accurately.
  • Stakeholder Communication Skills - You’ll be confident working with suppliers, Project Managers, finance teams, and senior stakeholders, able to explain commercial matters clearly and resolve issues professionally.
