Senior Design Lead - Trading Card Games Job Title: Senior Design Lead Hours/Permanent/Contract: Full time, permanent and contract considered Location: Remote, occasional co-working days and meetings in London Team: Design Pocket Realm develops, manufactures and brings to market premium collectible products for leading entertainment brands. We combine consumer insight, product strategy, outstanding design and deep fan understanding to create collectibles that fans love and retailers trust. We’re looking for a Senior Design Lead to drive the creative and design execution of an ambitious new trading card game for a major children’s franchise. Working alongside our Marketing Lead, founders, licensors and external creative partners, you'll lead creative development, translating a rich, beloved IP into a premium trading card experience that feels authentic to the brand while meeting the expectations of today's collectors and players. Your focus will be on creating a product that can stand alongside the best trading card brands in the market, combining outstanding visual design, collectability and fan appeal with exceptional production quality. Creative Product Development, leading the creative vision and translating the IP into a cohesive, premium trading card experience. Own the development of the visual identity, design language, product aesthetic and creative direction, driving an iterative process that continually elevates and evolves the product. Product and Packaging, leading the design of trading cards, range extension products, packaging, display units and supporting retail assets. Develop compelling card layouts, rarity treatments, chase cards and premium finishes, establishing scalable design systems that can evolve across multiple series and future releases. Deliver production-ready artwork and specifications to ensure a high-quality, consistent final product. Team & Stakeholder Collaboration, partnering with the Marketing Lead and leading design support across the TCG launch and associated products, while managing the licensor design approval and manufacturer design submission processes. The ideal candidate is passionate about games, collectibles, and entertainment brands, combining strong design expertise with a premium product mindset, with keen attention to detail and a deep appreciation for fandoms and the communities that surround them. Senior-level experience in TCGs, tabletop games, collectibles or licensed consumer products for children’s brands Strong graphic, packaging and print design skills A strong understanding of TCG trends, player expectations and collectible design The ability to create flexible design systems and maintain consistency at scale
