Reporting to a Registered Manager, you'll lead and support teams delivering high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with a range of support needs. This role offers a unique opportunity to broaden your experience across different services, strengthen your leadership capability, and gain valuable operational management experience in a supportive environment.

While this secondment is for an initial 6-month period, it is intended as a development opportunity and may provide exposure to future permanent management opportunities within the organisation, although these cannot be guaranteed. Our care services are committed to promoting independence, building confidence, and helping people live fulfilling lives. The people we support enjoy active roles within their communities, and your leadership will help ensure they continue to achieve their goals, pursue their interests and experience the best possible quality of life.

As Team Manager, you will be responsible for supporting service performance, developing colleagues, and ensuring services operate safely, effectively and in line with regulatory requirements. You will champion person-centred practice while helping teams deliver excellent outcomes for the people we support. You'll work alongside the Registered Manager to:

  • Deliver services in line with RISCA, Care Inspectorate Wales and Social Care Wales standards
  • Lead, motivate and develop Support Worker teams
  • Support recruitment, supervision, performance management and colleague wellbeing
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory frameworks
  • Oversee rotas, referrals and care planning activities
  • Build positive relationships with customers, families, professionals and partner organisations
  • Use IT systems confidently to manage records, data, reporting and workforce planning
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide support across services where required

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Experience of, or strong aspiration to take on, team leadership.
  • Strong organisational, communication and IT skills
  • Knowledge of HR and recruitment processes (desirable)
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
  • Understanding of safeguarding, compliance and regulatory requirements
  • QCF/NVQ in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards Level 4)
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • A flexible, proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous development
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding support and making a difference

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. It is ideal for someone looking to build their leadership experience, broaden their operational knowledge and take the next step in their management career.
