We're hiring for a Scientific Lead to join a highly-regarded, international MedComms agency known for their culture, stability, and superb quality of work. Following significant new business wins and organic growth, this agency is hiring for multiple Medical Affairs teams. This fully remote role (based in the UK) is designed for a senior medical communications professional to provide strategic counsel to clients and lead scientific content delivery across therapy areas including COPD, immunology, asthma, epilepsy, nephrology, and lupus. This position specifically suits a Principal Medical Writer looking to transition into a leadership role focused on team development and editorial excellence.
What you'll be doing
- Leadership and Mentoring: Line manage and coach members of the medical writing team, overseeing resource planning and workload allocation to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Scientific Strategy: Act as a strategic lead across Medical Affairs programmes, providing editorial leadership and maintaining high standards of scientific accuracy across all deliverables.
- Client Partnership: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, contributing to program planning and high-level scientific discussions.
The experience you'll need
- Scientific Expertise: Significant experience in medical writing within a MedComms agency, supported by an advanced life sciences degree (e.g. PhD or MSc).
