We\’re hiring for a Principal Medical Writer, specialising in publications, for a fully independent and creative medical communications agency. This is a chance to play a pivotal role in the evolution of their medical communications offering. The role is remote-first and offers the autonomy to balance life and work, supported by a culture that values scientific excellence and empowers its people.
What you\’ll be doing
- Taking the scientific lead on major accounts and developing high-quality, scientifically accurate materials across a range of formats, with a focus on publications and congress materials.
- Leading and managing a team of writers, providing consistent support through one-on-ones, actionable feedback, and collaboratively setting development goals.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, leading calls, presenting creative concepts, and providing strategic support to pharmaceutical account teams.
The experience you\’ll need
- Extensive experience as a medical writer at a senior level, with the ability to work independently and a proven track record of leading projects and accounts.
- Demonstrable experience in line management, including managing performance, supporting engagement, and providing mentorship to junior writers.
- Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and experience working to ABPI and other codes of practice, ensuring all copy is compliant.
Salary for this role is flexible, dependent on experience, and includes a great benefits package, including shared company bonuses and many other perks, like fully-paid private healthcare and company share options.
