Senior/Principal Medical Writer - Publications in Norwich

Senior/Principal Medical Writer - Publications in Norwich

Norwich Full-Time No working from home possible
P

pobl. is an independent talent consultancy specialising in medical communications. We're working exclusively with a MedComms agency to find a Senior or Principal Medical Writer specialising in publications. Fully remote, with candidates based in the UK.

We've deliberately left the level open. Our client would rather find the right person β€” someone with real appetite for the work and the right fit for the team β€” than fill a fixed title. If you're a senior writer ready to step up, or a principal-level writer who wants the freedom to do their best work, we'd like to hear from you.

About the Role

This is a publications role at its core: manuscripts, congress materials, publication plans, plain language summaries and the companion pieces that sit around them. You'll work closely with clients and authors, translating complex data into accurate, compelling narratives that stand up to scrutiny.

There's flexibility in the mix, too. We have scope for a pure publications specialist, or for someone who wants to combine publications with medical affairs work β€” tell us which suits you.

Being remote-first doesn't mean working alone. You'll be part of a collaborative team with proper support, with an employer recognised for being a genuinely great place to work.

What We're Looking For

  • A background in biomedical science (essential); a PhD is preferred
  • Solid experience writing publications within medical communications agencies
  • The scientific judgement to interpret complex data and the writing craft to make it clear
  • Confidence working directly with clients, authors and healthcare professionals
  • CMPP certification is a nice to have, not a dealbreaker
  • Someone who genuinely loves to write

The Details

  • Fully remote, UK-based
  • Β£45,000–£65,000 depending on experience
  • Senior or Principal level β€” the role will be shaped around the right person
  • Pure publications, or publications combined with medical affairs
