About the role
As a Support Worker (Relief), you will work closely with the individuals we support on a daily basis, assisting them to live their lives to the full. You will assist them with all of their needs (including personal care) according to their wishes. Becoming a friend and having fun with them is one of the most important parts of the role. Day to day duties include:
- Ensuring health and wellbeing of the individuals we support.
- Providing personal care and emotional support.
- Medication administration.
- Participating in stimulating activities.
- Involving the individuals in a person-centred approach.
Skills and Experience Needed
A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support is provided. Please ensure your application evidences experience of the following:
- IT, Literacy & numeracy skills

Pay and Pensions
£13.45 per hour Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am Enhanced DBS which we will pay for Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed Pension Choices: Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%. Or, Defined Benefit (DB) 1/80th of final salary for every year of service.
Time off and Flexibility
26 days holiday, pro rata entitlement plus Bank holidays. Rising to 27 days after 1 years service or cash equivalent of 1 days’ annual leave. Maternity & Adoption Leave: 20 weeks Paternity Leave: 3 weeks
