As a Project Officer, you will contribute to the delivery of small-scale new build and refurbishment projects, while also supporting Project Managers on larger and more complex schemes. You’ll be involved in the full project lifecycle, including early feasibility work, design development, procurement, construction monitoring, and handover. The role offers variety, clear responsibility, and the chance to build development experience within a collaborative team.

Skills and experience needed

We’re looking for colleagues who enjoy working with a clear purpose and who take pride in seeing projects delivered well, on time and within budget. You’ll be comfortable managing your own work, while knowing when to involve others and ask for support. You’ll bring experience from a development or commercial environment and have a good grounding in project management, including balancing competing priorities and working to agreed timescales. You’ll enjoy working with a range of people, building positive relationships with colleagues, contractors and partners, and contributing to a shared focus on delivering high-quality homes with customers at the centre. You’ll be comfortable working with project information such as programmes, costs and risks, and able to support financial appraisals and reporting with attention to detail. You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but you should be confident working with data, understanding what it is telling you, and using it to support sound decisions. The role also requires clear and practical communication. This includes producing written updates and reports, using Microsoft applications and project management tools, and being able to explain information in a way that makes sense to different audiences. Above all, we’re looking for someone who is reliable, organised and motivated, who takes a thoughtful approach to their work, and who wants to develop their skills as part of a supportive Development Team.
