Reporting to the Head of Health & Safety and leading a team of Health & Safety Officers, you'll work closely with senior leaders across the organisation as a trusted adviser, helping them manage risk, improve compliance, and embed a proactive approach to health and safety. Typical responsibilities include leading audits and assurance activities, analysing performance data, supporting strategic projects, coaching managers, and driving improvements that make a real difference across the business.
Skills and Experience Needed
A NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 5, NCRQ Diploma (or equivalent) is normally required; however, we're keen to hear from ambitious candidates who are actively working towards a recognised health and safety qualification. You should be working towards NEBOSH National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals, or equivalent Level 6 qualification, within an agreed timeframe( to be discussed at interview).
If you're ready to take the next step in your career, Codi will support your professional development, offering a development salary on entry with progression to the full salary upon successful completion of your qualification. You'll have strong communication and stakeholder management skills, be comfortable challenging and coaching others, and enjoy working proactively to drive continuous improvement. Experience of audits, inspections, assurance activities, and health and safety management systems would be advantageous.

£44,121 per annum working towards qualification / £55,162 per annum on completion

26 days holiday, pro rata entitlement plus Bank holidays. Rising to 31 days with an extra day for each full year of service.
