pobl. is an independent talent consultancy specialising in medical communications. We're currently working with an established international med comms agency to recruit multiple Senior Medical Writers to join their London team, with opportunities specialising in publications and medical affairs. You'll join a high-profile, fast-paced account focused on metabolic and rare diseases, supporting products with a rich pipeline of work ahead. This is a role for someone who can independently deliver compelling, scientifically rigorous medical communication outputs while staying curious, collaborative, and genuinely enthusiastic about the work.

About the Role

You'll be at the heart of a dynamic, scientifically rich programme supporting global, US and European clients. Your work will have real impact—communicating complex science to diverse audiences whilst building strong relationships with colleagues and clients alike. The account is varied and fast-moving, which means you'll need to be adaptable and detail-oriented, but that's also what makes it genuinely rewarding. The role offers flexible hybrid working, so you'll have the autonomy to manage your time effectively.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Draft high-quality medical communication materials independently: manuscripts, congress abstracts and posters, plain language summaries, slide decks, infographics, congress reports and meeting materials
  • Collaborate closely with senior writers and account teams to ensure consistent, impactful messaging across projects
  • Engage regularly with global clients, translating their needs into compelling scientific content
  • Contribute strategic thinking and proactive ideas to enhance the creative direction of client work
  • Support pipeline products and emerging opportunities as they develop

What We're Looking For

  • A strong scientific background, ideally with a life sciences degree (MSc or PhD preferred)
  • Proven medical writing for medical communications agencies
  • Confidence communicating complex science to a range of scientific and healthcare professionals
  • The ability to think strategically and contribute innovative ideas to client work
  • A genuine enthusiasm for communicating science, paired with a positive, collaborative approach to teamwork
