We're hiring for a Senior or Principal Medical Writer to join an exciting scale-up business based in Shoreditch, London. This global, independent medical education and communications agency focuses on empowering scientific organisations through flexible, transparent partnerships. The team prioritises creative storytelling and provides an environment where staff are encouraged to take ownership of their projects.
This is a hybrid position, ideally spending 2-3 days in the office per week. Monday is a mandatory team day, where you'll work onsite with all team members.
What you'll be doing
- Content Delivery: Develop and manage a range of high-quality educational and promotional materials, ensuring all scientific copy is accurate, strategically aligned, and tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals and patients.
- Scientific Leadership: Act as a key scientific contact for accounts or individual projects, leading client meetings and providing strategic counsel on medical communication plans.
- Team Development: Review the work of junior writers and freelancers for scientific integrity while playing an active role in mentoring and coaching the wider writing team.
The experience you'll need
- Agency Experience: You'll have prior medical communications agency experience as a Senior or Principal Medical Writer.
- Academic Background: A degree in biomedical science, pharmacy, or medicine, with an advanced degree or PhD being preferred.
- Regulatory Knowledge: A thorough understanding of healthcare compliance laws and guidelines, including the ABPI code of conduct and Good Publication Practice (GPP).
