About the role

  • Gain experience across key areas of finance, building a strong foundation for your career.
  • Receive support to develop your skills and work towards professional qualifications.
  • Work alongside experienced colleagues who will mentor and support you.
  • Rotate between Business Partnering (working with managers and budget holders), Financial Reporting (accounts, audits, and reports) and Corporate Finance ( Property and Investment).
  • Play a key role in ensuring financial information is accurate, timely, and useful for decision-making.
  • Support colleagues across the business to understand finance and its impact.

Skills and experience needed

We are looking for someone who is motivated, eager to learn, and enjoys working with numbers. You don’t need a degree – but you do need the following:

  • Confident with numbers and has good attention to detail.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and V-lookups).
  • Able to work in a finance team (at least 12 months’ experience).
  • Qualified to AAT Level 3 (or above), with Maths and English GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above).
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines.

This is a 3-4 year (dependent on any exam exemptions) full-time role (37 hours per week) with a full-time equivalent salary of £ 26,346

We support agile working, with a base in Cardiff, Newport or Swansea. You’ll be expected to attend the office for key meetings and collaboration.
