About the Role
As our Financial Grant Administrator, you'll be right at the centre of how we manage and protect the funding that makes so much of our work possible. Day to day, you can expect to:
- Take ownership of grant funding from receipt through to reconciliation, keeping everything compliant and on track
- Prepare grant claims, returns, and supporting schedules and feel the satisfaction of hitting those deadlines
- Keep financial records and audit trails spotless across multiple funding streams
- Work closely with project leads and external stakeholders to keep things moving and queries resolved
Skills and Experience Needed
You'll bring experience in a finance administration or accounts role β and if you've already had some exposure to grant or contract funding, even better. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy, and feels comfortable navigating compliance requirements in a regulated or publicly funded setting.
Strong communication skills matter here too. You'll be liaising with colleagues across the business as well as external funders, so confidence in managing those relationships is key. A relevant Accountancy Professional Part Qualification (or progress towards one) would be great to see, though equivalent hands-on experience is just as welcome.
Perks, Benefits and a glimpse into our Codi world
The salary is Β£33,683 (full-time equivalent, 37 hours per week), with agile working and a base location of Newport, Swansea or Cardiff. As part of our agile approach, you'll be expected to attend the office for team collaboration, key meetings and business needs.
This is an internal opportunity available as a fixed-term contract or secondment until 30/09/27. If you're interested in applying on a secondment basis, please have a conversation with your line manager before submitting your application.
