About the role

Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance and Governance, you'll lead a highly experienced team responsible for a diverse portfolio of specialist functions, including treasury operations, investor relations, property accounting, financial planning, development appraisal, pensions strategy and strategic projects across the Group.

This is a role with significant influence across Codi. You'll lead the development and delivery of the Group's treasury strategy, oversee long-term business planning, support major investment and growth decisions, and act as the principal relationship lead for funders and key external stakeholders. The role also provides strategic leadership on new business opportunities, contract negotiations, development activity and risk management, ensuring strong governance, compliance and financial resilience across the organisation.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you'll contribute to the success of the wider Group, providing visible leadership, driving continuous improvement and helping turn Codi's ambitions into reality.

Skills and experience needed

We're looking for an accomplished senior leader with significant financial expertise, commercial insight and the ability to influence at executive and board level. You'll have experience leading high-performing teams, building trusted partnerships and developing strategies that deliver long-term value and sustainable growth.

Alongside the credibility and judgement expected of a senior leadership role, you'll bring a strong understanding of governance, risk management and the opportunities and challenges facing our sector. A relevant degree-level qualification (or equivalent), together with Chartered Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst status, are essential, alongside a commitment to continuous professional development.

This is a full-time, permanent role (37 hours per week) with agile working and the flexibility to be based from our Cardiff, Newport or Swansea offices.

Alongside a salary of Β£119,287, this opportunity offers the chance to influence some of the most significant strategic decisions facing the Group.
