About the role

Working closely with the Director of Legal & Governance, you'll play a key role in bringing conveyancing services in-house and establishing the foundations for a successful, customer-focused service. You'll manage a caseload of residential conveyancing matters relating to shared ownership and outright sales, while working alongside colleagues across Development, Sales and other teams to support a seamless customer journey from reservation through to completion.

You'll also help develop effective processes, systems and service standards, monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery and value for money.

Skills and experience needed

You will be a qualified Solicitor or CILEx professional with at least three years' post-qualification experience and a strong background in residential conveyancing. Experience of working on large residential development schemes and managing cases from inception through to completion is essential.

You'll have excellent technical knowledge, strong commercial awareness and the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders. We're looking for someone who can balance attention to detail with a practical approach to problem-solving, while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and compliance. Experience of leading a conveyancing team, implementing new processes or working within the housing sector would be advantageous.

The salary for this role is Β£46,671 per annum (full-time, 37 hours per week). This opportunity is available until 30 September 2027 as we establish and evaluate our new in-house conveyancing service. With agile working and a base location of Newport, Swansea or Cardiff. As part of our agile approach, you'll be expected to attend the office for team collaboration, key meetings and business needs.
