pobl. is a talent consultancy specialising in medical communications, healthcare advertising and market access. We work with international clients on a range of hiring needs, from entry-level to executive appointments. We are hiring for a Principal Medical Writer, specialising in medical writing training and client medical education projects, to join an established, remote-first medical writing agency focused on healthcare communications and professional training. This is a full-time, permanent, remote role (37.5 hours per week). The role initially encompasses a dual function: developing and delivering medical writing training, and supporting other verticals as a Principal Medical Writer.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Training Delivery: Organise and lead the delivery of fundamental medical writing courses, ensuring learning experiences are engaging and aligned with adult learning principles.
- Medical Writing Leadership: Craft clear, engaging, and scientifically accurate content across a wide range of therapy areas and formats, taking ownership of complex projects and ensuring adherence to compliance codes.
- Curriculum Development & Mentoring: Play an active role in the design and development of new training programmes for staff, individuals, and clients, and provide guidance and one-to-one feedback to junior writers.
The Experience You’ll Need
- An academic background in biomedical sciences (PhD desirable).
- Extensive experience as a medical writer at a senior level, with the ability to work independently, and proven experience writing creative/medical copy in an agency environment.
- Demonstrable experience delivering workshops and developing training materials, coupled with excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations (e.g., ABPI and other codes of practice).

- Competitive salary package of £51,500 to £56,500 per annum, dependent on experience.
