About the role: Ty Idris Davies is an independent living service which provides supported accommodation to people aged 18 and over. You could be working with these incredible individuals to teach them tenancy management skills, support them with qualifications and provide any other support they may require. Ty Idris Davies offers the people we support a community living experience and can offer the resources required to meet their needs. The scheme is completely client led and is viewed as their home.

As a scheme support officer you will be required to:

  • Engage and interact with the people we support to help them connect with other support services
  • Support Project Workers in delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
  • Carry out health and safety checks and wellbeing checks within the scheme
  • Address any additional needs the people we support might have
  • Build community links and establish partnerships that benefit our customers

You will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse, and offending behaviour. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse clientele and manage disputes or conflicts appropriately.

  • A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
  • Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
