About the role Ty Llwynderw is an extra care service comprising of 25 apartments for over 65, with care and support needs that blends the freedom of independent living with the reassurance of on site care providers with a package of care suited to their needs. Alongside this we have a residential suite which we provide 3 meals a day for our residents who have cognitive impairment. This is more than just a kitchen—it’s a vibrant community where your passion for food can truly make a difference. We’re looking for a dynamic manager to oversee operations at this service, plan nutritious meals, and inspire a positive team culture. You’ll ensure compliance, maintain health and safety, and work closely with the Service Manager to provide a customer-focused experience.
Skills and Experience Needed
- Ability to lead, manage and upskill a team - skilled at motivating, organising, and supporting a team to deliver high standards under pressure. We are looking for someone who is confident in spotting skill gaps and providing practical, hands-on training to help the team grow.
- Dietary and cultural knowledge - committed to creating menus that respect dietary requirements and cultural preferences.
- Capable of working to a set budget - able to manage resources effectively, reduce waste, and keep costs under control without compromising quality.
- NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation/Catering - solid knowledge of food safety, preparation techniques, and industry standards, with recognised qualifications. HACCP knowledge training will be provided to a level 3 standard.

- Annual salary of £27,271
- Pension Choices: Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%. Or, Defined Benefit (DB) 1/80th of final salary for every year of service.
