Scheme Support Officer – Waking Night – Pobl Group
At Pobl Group we look for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our Kerrigan Project as a part‑time Waking Night Scheme Support Officer. This permanent role works 20 hours a week, 2 nights per week, across 9 people with complex needs in Bridgend.
Responsibilities
- You will work with people to truly make a difference in their life.
- Use skills and talents to engage with patients and support them to achieve their potential.
- Develop networking skills by working in partnership with external agencies.
- Perform Health and Safety checks and additional duties as required.
- Act as the point of contact for clients, offering advice, support and a listening ear at the end of the day.
- Equip clients with knowledge and tools needed for independent living, tackling complex behaviours such as alcohol misuse, mental health issues, substance misuse, anti‑social behaviour and offending.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of housing‑related support and benefit systems.
- Strong organisational, IT and record keeping skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Experience dealing with difficult situations and good listening skills.
- Full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
