Scheme Support Officer – Supported Accommodation
At Pobl Group this role is best known as a Scheme Support Officer. We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Scheme Support Officer to join our Supported Accommodation team in Newport on a Full-time (37 hrs) permanent basis.

- Full-time – 37 hours
- Permanent Contract
- Salary is £24,531.00 per FTE plus £62.64 sleep‑in allowance
- 24‑hour service includes days, evenings, sleep‑ins and weekend availability
What is great about the role?
You will be working with a diverse group of people aged 18+ from varying backgrounds who are experiencing trauma and have complex needs. Every day is different, you’ll be learning new skills and have the opportunity to work with a variety of agencies. We engage with the people we support through positive meaningful activities and provide a Psychologically Informed Environment.
Your day will consist of
- Engaging and interacting with the people we support
- Delivering workshops relating to diversionary activities around individuals who have co‑occurring needs and health and wellbeing
- Ensuring the building is secure including health & safety checks and maintaining an awareness of who is in the building
- Dealing with challenging behaviours in a challenging and demanding environment
- Addressing any additional needs the people we support might have
Our aim
We equip individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol use, mental health, substance use and anti‑social and offending behaviour. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.
Part of your role will also include sleep‑in shifts at the scheme, where you will be provided with a secluded area that includes a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen facilities.
