We’re looking for a skilled Electrician who takes pride in their work and wants to see the difference they make every day. This isn’t just another role – you’ll be working in real homes, improving living spaces and helping customers feel safe and comfortable. At Codi, we’re a housing association with a clear purpose: to provide great homes, care and support. Every job you complete contributes to that, whether it’s upgrading an older property or helping a customer feel at ease in their home.

Join our Codi Repairs Team and play a hands‑on role supporting homes and communities across Haverfordwest to Monmouthshire. Your office base will be Swansea, with most of your work covering the Neath Port Talbot to Haverfordwest area – keeping your days varied and on the move. We offer a healthy work‑life balance with Monday to Friday working, plus the option of compressed hours on a 9‑day fortnight, giving you extra time back for you. This is a full‑time, permanent role (40 hours per week) with a competitive salary of £38,974 along with a great package designed to support you at work and beyond.

Perks, Benefits and a glimpse into our Codi world:

  • Work van and fuel card provided — you’re good to go from day one
  • Uniform and all tools supplied
  • Basic DBS check covered by us
  • Flexibility to be paid weekly or monthly
  • Sick pay, increasing with length of service (up to 6 months’ full pay after 4 years)

And that’s just the start. From wellbeing support to rewards and recognition, we offer plenty of benefits that make working at Codi more than just a job.

About The Role:

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. As a Multi‑Skilled Electrician, you’ll be working in our customers’ homes, helping to maintain and improve our housing stock – including upgrading older properties to modern standards. A big part of your work will focus on Planned Kitchen And Bathroom Programmes, carrying out all electrical work needed for upgrades. Alongside this, you’ll also carry out repairs and improvements such as:

  • Changing consumer units
  • Testing and inspection work
  • Wiring and rewiring tasks

You’ll work closely with other skilled trades, including kitchen and bathroom fitters, to deliver high‑quality outcomes for our customers. This is a role where customer engagement really matters. You’ll be working in people’s homes, so being approachable, respectful and professional is key. You’ll have the independence to manage your own workload, alongside strong support from a friendly, experienced team.

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • Strong experience in electrical repairs and maintenance
  • Confidence working in occupied homes and engaging with customers
  • Ability to carry out testing, fault finding and installation work to a high standard
  • Ideally experience working in social housing or with older housing stock
  • Enjoys working as part of a team alongside other trades

We also value additional practical skills (such as basic plumbing, carpentry or plastering), as this helps us deliver a more joined‑up service. You’ll need the relevant electrical qualifications to carry out the role (please refer to the Job Description for full details), along with a valid driving licence – a van will be provided.

Values:

At Codi, our values are Compassionate, Authentic and Progressive. When you join us, you’ll embrace these principles and thrive in an environment shaped by them.

FREDIE:

At Codi Group we are guided by a group of principles that we call FREDIE: Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, Engagement. This means that whatever your background, you will have an equal opportunity at Codi Group.
