Overview

At Pobl Group, this role is best known as Scheme Support Officer. Our Supported Accommodation service in the Rhondda area has an opportunity for a Scheme Support Officer to join their well-established team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will need to have a drivers licence and access to a car with appropriate business cover.

Caersalem House is a supported accommodation service that provides a housing solution for homeless people with varying support needs. Here at Caersalem, we work with the people we support to plan goals which will enable them to live independently in their own tenancy. It is also a chance for people who were homeless to engage with the right specialist services which will attend to any other support needs.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering workshops and activities that allow the people we support to grow and develop their skills and confidence.
  • Collaborate with the Project Workers to support individuals in achieving their goals.
  • Perform sleep-in shifts at the scheme, with a private area that includes a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen facilities.
  • Engaging and interacting with the people we support.
  • Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing.
  • Welfare checks.
  • Organising and participating in day trips and internal/external activities.
  • Maintenance checks such as health & safety, fire safety.
  • Cleaning as required.
  • Addressing any additional needs the people we support might have.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Full driver’s licence and access to a car with appropriate business cover.
  • Enhanced DBS check (paid by us).
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse, and offending behaviour.
  • Ability to adapt approach to engage with a diverse range of cliental.

Benefits and Conditions

  • Competitive salary of £24,531.00 plus £51.11 sleep-in allowance per sleep-in.
  • Full-time, permanent; 24/7 rota including day shifts, waking nights, weekends and sleep-ins.
  • Time away: 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays; pension scheme; sick pay.
  • Internal progression and bespoke learning pathway with Learning and Development support.
  • Wellbeing and psychological support; Time for Talk service.
  • 45p per mile.
