We are looking for passionate, reliable, and committed individuals to join our team in a Supported Living service based in Ammanford. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives while working within a supportive and dedicated team.

We have two fixed‑term positions (9 months) available:

  • 16 hours per week (with 8 hour sleep in as extra) 24 hours per week (with 8 hour sleep in as extra) Shifts will fall between 8:30am and 11:00pm, including evenings and weekends on a rota basis. A full UK manual driving licence is essential, as the role involves driving mobility vehicles to support individuals in the community.   • You’ll be supporting five incredible individuals aged 22‑70 with learning disabilities. They’re social, full of personality, and love getting out and about. Your role will be to support their independence, build life skills, and share in their hobbies and daily routines.

We follow a “do with, not do for” approach, because we believe in empowering people, not doing things for them.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting with medication, cooking, and household tasks
  • Helping with personal care where needed
  • Encouraging community involvement and hobbies
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting budgeting and admin tasks
  • Driving individuals to activities and appointments
  • Keeping clear and accurate digital records
  • Bringing fresh ideas and energy to the team

A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.

Please ensure your application evidences experience of the following:

Pay and Pensions

  • £25,877 FTE (13.45 per hour)
  • Sleep-in rate: £62.64 per 8 hour shift – approx. 1 per week.
  • Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am
  • Enhanced DBS which we will pay for
  • Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed
  • Pension Choices: Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10% or Defined Benefit (DB) 1/80th of final salary for every year of service.
