What is the role?
Ty Gwynfa is a unique and vibrant service comprising six self-contained flats with shared communal areas. We provide daytime support to adults with varying levels of independence, mental health needs, and learning disabilities.
Our aim is to empower individuals to develop and maintain essential life skills, enabling them to live with greater independence, confidence, and dignity.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll play a key role in supporting individuals to grow and thrive. Your responsibilities will include:
- Encouraging engagement with local community services, wellbeing activities, and leisure opportunities
- Supporting access to education, training, or employment pathways at an appropriate pace
- Providing trauma-informed, emotionally intelligent support for individuals facing emotional distress
- Delivering sensitive suicide prevention support, contributing to a safe and recovery-focused environment
- Supporting with cooking, household routines, and developing independent living skills
- Assisting individuals in accessing the community and attending local groups or activities
- Offering companionship and meaningful conversations focused on wellbeing and personal growth
- Completing documentation and relevant paperwork to a high standard
- Helping individuals manage and budget finances
- Administering medication in line with guidelines
- Promoting fun, inclusion, and creativity through life-enhancing activities
- Collaborating with the team to bring fresh ideas and new ways of working
What skills and experience do you need?
Experience working with vulnerable individuals, particularly those with mental health needs or learning disabilities, is desirable but not essential as we offer full training and ongoing development to help you succeed.
More importantly, we are looking for someone who demonstrates:

- An hourly rate of £12.75 making the annual salary £24,531 (FTE)
