Our Supported accommodation service, Albert Street, in Newport is looking for a Complex Needs Project Worker to join their team on a full-time (37 hrs), permanent basis.

Overview

Albert Street provides supported accommodation for individuals over 18, who are homeless and have co-occurring mental health/substance misuse issues. You will work with these individuals to teach tenancy management skills and engage them with external services to make a positive impact.

Day-to-Day Duties

  • Draw up and maintain Risk Assessments and Risk Management Plans to ensure safety within the service.
  • Assess clients\’ needs and risks, managing a caseload of clients with complex needs.
  • Review and update support plans, support clients in understanding their responsibilities, and assist with moving to independent accommodation.
  • Collaborate with agencies like Social Services, Benefits, Housing, Probation, etc.
  • Lead shifts, supervise support staff, and ensure all tasks are completed.
  • Support clients with benefits, housing options, and maintaining their progress records.
  • Promote health and safety, ensure rent payments, and attend team meetings and training.
  • Adhere to Pobl policies including Equality & Diversity, Professional Boundaries, and Health & Safety.
  • Support the promotion of a Psychologically Informed Environment.

This challenging role involves working with individuals with complex behaviours and needs, including health issues and substance misuse. You will need to adapt your approach to a diverse client base.

Benefits

  • Salary: £28,041 + £51.11 sleep-in allowance
  • Full-time, permanent role with a 6-week rolling rota covering 24/7 shifts, including sleep-ins.
  • Enhanced DBS paid for, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, sick pay, training, progression, wellbeing support, and mileage allowance.
