Overview
We are looking to recruit a part-time Community Engagement Project Worker to join our preventative hubs service in Carmarthenshire. The hubs are in Llanelli, Amman and Gwendreath, and provide preventative and solution-based community support. This is a part-time role, offered on a fixed-term basis until March 2027.
It is essential for the successful candidate to have access to a car, have a full driver\’s licence, and be happy to transport customers in their car.
What is great about the role?
You will play a key part in delivery of the preventative hubs in Llanelli, Amman and Gwendreath. These hubs provide preventative and solution-based community support to help customers improve and/or maintain their health, well-being and independence through social integration and strong community relationships. As part of the lead team, you will deliver the single point of contact from which customers can access information, opportunities, and support that is visible, accessible and available. You will work closely with your team and partner organisations to deliver this service. You will receive referrals, provide information, have wellbeing conversations with customers, deliver community engagement campaigns and develop community support networks.
What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for someone who is able to build great rapport and has experience of working with vulnerable people or in community development. You will have the ability to plan, deliver, review and monitor a holistic package of support and have the ability to assess the needs of our customers and assess risk and propose risk management strategies. For this role you will need to have a high standard of IT literacy and be keen to engage in further learning to continuously grow. Our values are positive, connected and considerate. - The FTE salary for this position is £28,041.00 FTE (22.5hrs per week = £17,051.96)
- Work Pattern: 3 days per week but required to work a Wednesday to attend team meetings. Work pattern can be discussed during interview.
