A full-time, temporary (fixed term) Housing Related Floating Support Worker for our young persons services in the Neath area. Working predominantly office hours Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (with occasional evenings and weekend work flexibility required).

Codi Group is a not-for-profit provider of housing, care, and support services across Wales. With a mission to help people live well and achieve independence, Codi supports nearly 17,000 individuals daily.

About The Role

This role is part of the Housing Related Floating Support (Step Down) project linked to Clarewood Neath. You will provide resettlement and housing‑related support, helping people transition from supported accommodation to lower‑support or step‑down accommodation. The service promotes tenancy sustainment and aims to reduce the likelihood of future homelessness.

Day To Day Duties

  • Work with people to make a positive difference in their lives.
  • Manage a caseload of 12‑15 customers with varying needs.
  • Record customer support and store key information for quarterly monitoring.
  • Provide housing‑related, resettlement, and independent living skills support to enable tenancies.
  • Collaborate with agencies and professionals to identify and recruit support for young homeless‑threatened individuals (e.g., NPT College, Social Services, Health Services, Housing Options, NPT Gateway, Landlords and Lettings Agencies).
  • Offer support in a sensitive manner, respecting emotional and intellectual needs, choice, and privacy.

Skills And Experience Needed

  • Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues affecting vulnerable people.
  • Current driving licence and access to a car.
  • Passion to help people live independently.
  • Enthusiasm for making a difference in people’s lives.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Capability to manage conflicting and difficult situations.
