A full-time Scheme Support Officer in a Young Persons Supported Accommodation scheme in Pontypridd. You will be required to work on a rolling rota that includes days, evenings, weekend availability, and waking nights.

This is a Scheme Support Officer role based in our Supported Accommodation service, The Grange, Pontypridd. We have a team of Scheme Support Officers and Project Workers providing 24/7 support to our young people who are experiencing homelessness. The Grange provides short‑term, temporary, emergency accommodation to young, homeless people aged 16 to 25. Working as a team you will give the young people opportunities to engage in activities and training that develop the necessary skills to manage a tenancy and live independently.
Day‑to‑Day Duties
- Engage and interact with the people we support
- Plan and deliver workshops on tenancy management, health, and wellbeing
- Support the young people as directed by the Project Worker according to each individual’s support plan
- Conduct welfare checks and flat checks
- Ensure the building is secure, including health & safety checks and maintaining awareness of who is in the building
- Perform reception duties as required
- Deal with challenging behaviours and respond to arising needs
- Address any additional needs the people we support might have
- Prepare flats, ensuring they are clean, fully equipped, and ready for new clients to move in
